"Peer Reviewed," "Scholarly," and "Academic" are all words used to describe articles written for  academic or professional journals. When an author submits an article to such a journal, a committee of peers in the author's discipline reviews the article for accuracy, for writing quality, and for containing information of value to that discipline. Knowing an article has been peer-reviewed lends credibility and authority to it. Most of our databases have peer-reviewed articles. Let us know if you need help finding those types of articles.
